This course teaches how to create an on-line course that will be delivered over the DOI LEARN Learning Management System. The first day is spent navigating the Learning Content Management System (LCMS), covering instructional design basics, and applying these basics as you develop your on-line content. On day two, you will work through the instructional design cycle with the content you’ve brought with you, so you can import it into the LCMS and then view it as a student. On day three, you will learn how to enhance your training material by incorporating video and other interactive elements. Note that this course is presented in workshop format, with the majority of the instruction focusing on designing and developing content prior to uploading into the LCMS.

| Who Should Attend: |
Anyone who will be developing content for on-line delivery in DOI LEARN. You should be fairly proficient with PowerPoint. Familiarity with DOI LEARN, HTML, and creating PDF documents is recommended, but not required. You should have a piece of content you are debating about offering over the Internet and bring that with you to the class. |
| Objectives: |
- Decide what content works best for delivery;
- Develop learning objectives for an on-line learning module/course;
- Develop a storyboard for you content;
- Create an instructional design document (IDD) for your on-line course;
- Develop your on-line course content so that it can be imported into the LCMS,
- Load your course into the LCMS; and
- Enhance your course with video and interactive elements.
