This course helps participants learn how to implement the “TAILS” Tracking and Integrated Logging System, with associated GIS components, at a typical FWS Ecological Services Field Office (ESFO). The training is specific to ESFO applications, including the logging of Section 7 consultations, project planning permit reviews, contaminant activities, and other office activity data – and the geographical attribution and display of this data. Topics include system navigation, data standards, data entry, file maintenance, report generation (including GPRA), and GIS integration.

| Who Should Attend: |
FWS Ecological Services staff biologists, GIS and computer support personnel, data entry/office automation clerks specifically responsible for implementing and supporting the Tracking and Integrated Logging System, and any staff member responsible for logging information into or deriving information from the system. |
| Objectives: |

*Learn the components of the “TAILS” Tracking and Integrated Logging System;
*Successfully navigate, enter data, and produce and export reports (and maps) using the Tracking and Integrated Logging System; and
*Learn how to integrate tracking and logging system data with GIS for an ESFO.
