TEC7143 - Computer Network Management in the Fish and Wildlife Service

Course participants will understand the design principles of the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) network infrastructure.  Students will learn FWS specific requirements and standards for the administration, management, and manipulation of field and office networks.

College Credit None
Who Should Attend: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service computer support personnel responsible for supporting network implementation. 
Objectives:

*Ensure common understanding of FWS and DOI Network Infrastructure;

*Explain administrative roles of those who manage the FWS Network and the operational concepts that drive standards;

*Provide a foundational understanding of terminology and function within the FWS Network implementation;

*Discuss critical Network services and network requirements; and

*Demonstrate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills using tools and resources provided.
