This course provides intermediate instruction on real estate principles and practices related to Federal land acquisition and disposal. It provides information, procedures, and training on the requirements for land acquisition and disposal, including transfers, surplus property, withdrawals, exchanges, donations, and the Department of Defense Base Closure Program. The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act, Department of Justice Title Standards, and contaminants survey issues are also explored.

| Who Should Attend: |
Fish and Wildlife Service and other Department of the Interior, Federal, state, or private agency personnel (such as natural resources realty specialists) working directly with Federal land acquisition and disposal. Experience with basic Federal realty procedures is required. Successful completion of "Land and Real Estate Law Introduction for Federal Natural Resource Projects" (TEC7171), or its equivalent, is recommended. |

* Describe and discuss the requirements for acquiring, transferring, and disposing of land, including
