This is a three day course to address some of the most complex and current issues people who oversee and implement NEPA.  Instruction will focus on how the requirement to analyze cumulative effects under NEPA may be used to address the impacts of proposed federal actions on climate change, and, conversely, the effects of climate change on proposed federal action.  Information and resources addressing climate change in the foreseeable future will be presented.  The use of adaptive management as a sensible way of acknowledging our constantly evolving understanding of environmental change will be addressed.  Examples and class exercises will be used to practice concepts taught in lectre.
