New Module Coming in DOI LEARN!
A new electronic SF-182 (External Training Request Form) is now available in DOI LEARN. This automated, on-line form has replaced the need for Bureaus and Offices to manually complete hardcopy SF-182 forms or to maintain hardcopy files of these forms for future external training requests. The DOI LEARN system will now maintain these records for you.
Use of the electronic SF-182 form to request and approve external training requests is required of all DOI employees. This is an OMB requirement Each Bureau will individually phase in the SF-182 process.
Once each bureau has briefed their employees on use of the SF-182, all training internally AND EXTERNALLY offered to DOI employees must be captured in DOI LEARN.
DOI LEARN Profiles ARE Important!
Student profiles are critical to the completion of the SF-182s to track external training. Please regularly review your profile in DOI LEARN to be sure that your contact information and supervisors are listed correctly. General DOI LEARN Info:
In use by the Service since December 2005, DOI LEARN is the source for “One-stop shopping” for all DOI training. The catalog within DOI LEARN contains classes offered by any DOI Bureau. (NCTC, BLM, NPS, USGS, OSM, DOIU, etc.) It provides a method to electronically track all training for every employee. It also provides personalized learning plans and dynamic reporting.
All Service personnel are required to log in to DOI LEARN and establish their own user account in order to register for NCTC training; as well as training hosted by other DOI bureaus. All Online mandatory training completions are required to be tracked in DOI LEARN. For more information about logging into DOI LEARN, please see the Frequently Asked Questions page.
