SAF4000 - Construction Safety Awareness

The course has been designed to familiarize Service personnel with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Construction Safety Standards primarily through use of the OSHA 2202 Construction Industry Digest but also 29 CFR 1926 and 360 FW 4. You will need to score 80% on the 50 question final examination to successfully complete this course.

Who Should Attend: This course is for Construction Inspectors and Contract Officer Representatives, whose duties require visits to construction projects to determine a contractor's compliance with construction specifications and the safety requirements of the contract.

Objectives:
- This course will help you understand your construction inspection duties and responsibilities regarding Contractor compliance with construction safety standards on the job site;
- Through use of the OSHA 2202 you will learn how to find the proper safety considerations and procedures related to the construction project that you have been assigned to;
- By reviewing several case studies of actual construction situations that led to accidents you will become familiar with and be able to identify some of the most serious safety hazards encountered in construction projects.
