All employees have the right to work in a safe and healthy workplace. In addition to this right, employees and supervisors have a number of safety related responsibilities.
|Observe and follow all required safety and health policies and procedures.||Orient employees to safety responsibilities.|
|Maintain a high degree of safety awareness to avoid accidents or incidents.||
Ensure all safety and environmental health aspects are addressed in all assignments.
Ensure all employees are physically able and adequately trained to safely accomplish their assigned work.
Ensure that recognized safety and environmental health practices are followed by all employees and others in a work area.
|Wear personal protective equipment that has been provided.||Enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.|
|Report all accidents/incidents and job related illnesses to appropriate supervisors immediately.||
Immediately abate all unsafe practices.
Arrange for first aid, medical treatment, and/or transportation for medical treatment.
Investigate and report all accidents within area of jurisdiction (See 240 FW 7.1).
|Report all unsafe or unhealthful conditions which they believe to exist (See 240 FW 6.1).||
Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected without delay.
|Complete required Office of Workers' Compensation Program claim forms.||Ensure the initiation, completion, and submission through proper channels of required Office of Workers' Compensation Program claim forms.|
