This bi-annual, 3 day event is a unique opportunity for intermediate to advanced geospatial practitioners to receive focused, hands-on training that would otherwise not be offered at NCTC. In addition to the training modules, the Workshop will incorporate morning plenary lectures and up to date software presentations. Lecture topics range from DOI data management initiatives, and LCC advancements, to the latest in remote drone technologies and a FWS progress report on the regional and national program geospatial efforts.
The Workshop will also include individual FWS Program breakout meetings, a FWS Program Showcase with private vendor booths, and map/poster sessions all hosted within the NCTC gymnasium.
Objectives: During the Geospatial Training Workshop, you will be able to:
* Cultivate professional relationships with other FWS employees, agencies, and
private sector software vendors.
* Discover new program initiatives within FWS/DOI including; national data integration strategies to promote information sharing among offices and partners.
* Share knowledge, expertise and perspectives among your contemporaries.
* Receive training on the latest geospatial software, equipment, and technology applications.
