Budget Object Class Codes
Budget object class codes are very important to tracking where funds are spent. They allow us to break down large chunks of money and have a better accounting of where it is being spent. They allow us to say that we've spent this much on animal food, this much on vehicle fuel, this much on building supplies, and this much on office supplies. If we didn't have the BOCs available to us, we would have to say it was all spent on "supplies" and it would be more difficult to track where we spent our money, and it would be more difficult in projecting future expenses.
