Beginning June 9, 2008 the Service will begin implementing the GovTrip Travel Authorization and Vouchering System (TAVS).  The implementation will require the Service to develop new policies and procedures for creating travel authorizations, making travel reservations, and completing travel vouchers. The Division of Financial Management (DFM), which is coordinating the activities related to the implementation, is in the process of updating its travel policies and issuing new user guidance.
