FFS requires that you use "ACTION" codes to move around from table to table. These Action codes are simple one letter identifiers that tell the system what you want to do next. The most commonly used are:

L |
Leaf/link to a different table using the same document information that is on the current screen. |
N |
Go to the new table specified in the TABLEID field or get a new (blank) screen within the same table that is currently on the screen. |
R |
Refill (or refresh) the screen with the next record or set of records in the same table that is currently on the screen. |
S |
Scan the same table that is currently on the screen starting with the entered information. |
B |
Return to previous table. |
< |
Backup to the previous record. |
Z |
Zoom holds your place in one table, while you go look at or make changes to another. |
E |
Exit from FFS |
