Speaking with Joe Witt about Eagles
USFWS/NCTC Biologist

Joe has been a field biologists for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management for twenty-nine years. He has taken every opportunity to study eagles and ospreys. All his observations have been along river systems using a variety of field methods, including hiking along ridges overlooking a river to flying in helicopters in the spring to count eagle and osprey fledgings. At the NCTC, having a spotting scope and camera observing the nesting pair is both delightful and entertaining for Joe. Observing nature has put both food on his table and spirit in his heart.

Listen to a conversation with Joe.  (Transcript)
