| Effective education strategies are used by conservation professionals to target specific resource management issues to the right audiences. This course helps participants incorporate evaluation strategies into program planning and implementation. Participants also learn about working with students, teachers, youth groups, and their leaders, both on and off public lands. |

| Who Should Attend: |
Resource managers, educators, outdoor recreation planners, law enforcement officers, and anyone whose job requires contact with the public. |
| Objectives: |
- Identify ways to work with the education community, including youth groups, home schools, and adult community members/leaders
- Discuss ways that your agency/organization can support educators and become a resource for meeting their needs
- Describe successful elements of the development of education materials and programs based on national and/or state school learning requirements and youth group badges
- Adapt existing programs and materials to meet resource management objectives
- Implement environmental education strategy on or off-site
- Use a planning and evaluation process through all steps of project development and implementation
