Note: From 1957-1969 there were two Commissioners of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: Arnie J. Suomela (1957-1961) and Clarence F. Pautzka (1961-1969).  In 1970 the Bureau of Commercial Fisheries was transferred to the Department of Commerce and renamed the National Marine Fisheries Service.
