The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a family. The tragedy of September 11th hit home when we heard of the loss of one of our finest, Rich Guadagno. This site is dedicated to him. It is a special place you are encouraged to visit, because within it are the thoughts, memories and images of a person who exemplified the Fish and Wildlife Service and above all a caring citizen. This site is not only for Service employees who may find it an outlet for the healing process. It is for all people, because that is the kind of man Rich was. You will see words from people who met Rich on a trail at one of his refuges as he helped identify a bird or share the wonders of nature. You will also read the words of close friends who interacted with him daily. The images paint a picture of a person who walked lightly on the earth and shared himself as a wonderful, caring and sensitive person.
